Job Summary
We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team in the UK. As a Kitchen Porter, your main role is to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and support the chefs with basic food prep when required. You’ll be an essential part of the smooth running of our busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities

Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment

Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and walls clean at all times

Assist chefs with simple food preparation as needed

Remove rubbish and recycling regularly to maintain hygiene standards

Ensure cleaning chemicals and tools are used safely and correctly

Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the Kitchen Manager

Receive and store deliveries correctly

Follow all health and safety guidelines

Support the wider kitchen team during busy service times
Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
